Status Update - Enhanced Score Sheets

Wednesday, 25th April 2012

Status Updates are weekly posts made in the community forum where the team share insights into the development of theHunter.

Time for a Status Update!

Today we released an enhancement to the score sheets, which is now available, also retroactively for kills prior to today.

Here is how they look like:

Besides some minor details like having the logotype of your weapon/ammo (in case it is a real-life brand) displayed the first interesting new section is that info is displayed about each hit:

Now it is possible to see equipment used and the distance per shot. Animal State of the moment of the shot (walking, eating, trotting, etc), the body part hit (hover the mouse to see list of organs). Stance is the stance of the player (standing, crouching, prone) and finally platform which may be tower, tree stand, ground blind or none.

Since this is very interesting data score sheets are now available for all kills, even if they are not score at all (then the score sheet section is simply hidden and the final score is zero). Another small addition is that animal weight is now displayed for all species, no matter if it is part of the score calculation or not.

The next interesting thing is the map. On the map you will see the position of the player and the animal per shot, as well as any picked up tracks of the animal. Here is an example of a player who did on shot and then had to track the animal quite a distance to take the second killing shot.

We believe this add a greater depth and value to your kills, and a fascinating way to analyze the kills of others. Wondered for how long you really tracked that animal? Or how that player managed to do that long range kill? Now you can find out!

I'm sure once you test this new feature you will have more ideas how to make it even better. I know you will make sure to let us know! ;-)

And by the way, now the Czech translation is finally available! Big thanks to community member SilentRaven for all the hard work!

Happy hunting!
