Status Updates are weekly posts made in the community forum where the team share insights into the development of theHunter.
Welcome to this week's Status Update!
This week it's all about updates to the Hunter Store and the Eastern Sports & Outdoor Show.
Launched earlier this week was the addition of PagSeguro as a payment method. PagSeguro is the leading payment provider in Brazil, offering popular payment solutions like Boleto, Débito online/TEF as well as credit cards.
Looking at the statistics this month in terms of visitors of thehunter.com Brazil is actually the forth largest country with USA, Germany and France ahead and closely followed by Poland. With the addition of PagSeguro we hope to see Brazil becoming one of the top countries in terms of memberships as well.
Today we've released another addition to the Hunter Store - a way to earn em$ without actually paying for them. We've partnered with SponsorPay and Matomy which basically pay for your em$ in return for completing different offers. An offer may be to complete a survey, try out a product or sign up for a newsletter, just to mention a few. Once an offer is complete our servers gets notified and adds the corresponding em$ to your account.
We do not manage, select or otherwise handle any of the offers. Although our partners are actively working on making sure all the offers are proper, if you see something inappropriate, please report it by clicking the X in the upper right corner of the offer description. To get support regarding offers, please use the Offer Status link available in the offer panel.
There ain't no such thing as a free lunch, so it may require some effort to complete an offer. Offers are an alternative for those who cannot or don't want to pay for em$. It may allow us as developers to get some revenue also from free players, thus helping us to continue developing the game. Purchasing em$ directly will always be the preferred, quickest and most hassle-free method. We also hope the some of those trying out offers will realize the value and instead get a membership instead.
SponsorPay and Matomy offers are available at the bottom of the Hunter Store page. Get to the store by logging in, locate the Store option in the menu and click Hunter Store.
This weekend the Eastern Sports & Outdoor Show will begin in Harrisburg, PA, USA - and there will be a theHunter booth at the show!
It's the largest outdoor and hunting show in the US with over 1200 exhibitors and it is solely a community effort making it possible to showcase and demo theHunter to all visitors. It's made possible by familar faces in the forum headed by naoutdoors and outrider manning the booth, also long time members DHRifleman and HoneyWest will be joining at the show. Myself, Peter and Lion will also be there, unfortunately we cannot be there for the whole show, we're heading back early on the 9th. Also thanks to everyone in the area reaching out with great hospitality to make this a great event.
The goal of the show is to spread the word about the game and attract new players as well as establishing relationsships with people and companies in the industry. We see theHunter having huge potential at introducing people to hunting as well as creating awareness and promoting hunter ethics to both hunters and the public in general.
