Community Monday Update

Monday, 24th August 2009

Last week saw The Hunter pass an amazing milestone of over 500 Thousand animals harvested.

That's right Hunters in the EHR have officially bagged over half a MILLION Whitetails, Muleys, Elk, Turkeys and Coyote and says a great deal about the patience and skill of our players.

Since last week's membership news update The Hunter store has seen record business not only for Pioneers, Trailrunners and Wayfarers, but with 50% off creating quite a rush the individual 1 Day, 7 Day and 28 Day Licenses have been flying out of Doc's Outfitters as Guest players want to get a taste of the action. If you haven't visited Doc's Outfitters or The Hunter Store recently today would be an excellent day to pay a visit.

This week we would like to recognize the support of our Wardens and early supporters who have helped us shape The Hunter into the success that we're seeing today, we're also looking forward to new members and players joining our growing community and getting involved to continue to shape the game.

Friday's announcement about the new Trophy Room & Achievements System has already seen some of our veteran hunters creating displays of their own finest trophies, including MonacoSteve fine whitetail.

Some of you may remember Slugmeister's work from last week, and never one to rest on his laurels the Meister has been back with some handy hints for novice hunters. In particular we would recommend this Diagram explaining Rack scoring. We all know that the ideal shot is that double lung and heart shot, but if that trophy buck isn't presenting the broadside Slugmeister has also produced these hints on the best aiming points.

You can find this information along with other handy hints in the Tips/Guides Section in The Hunter Forums.

Not to be left out our resident Fan-Wiki-Meister Tears has created Bow Hunting Master Class Video. If you've produced a YouTube Video be sure to post it in The Hunter Fan Film Group on YouTube for everyone to enjoy. Check out THIS recent offering taking a different look at the EHR.

Tears' German & English video is a solid reminder that although The Hunter is set in the Pacific Northwest, The Hunter's heart is very much worldwide. In the last couple of weeks we have seen two new online reviews one from British based D'log and also a great offering for our Czech fans from Vodny.

Happy Hunting
